I hate the flu!

This week I have been battling the flu, so I am not getting done anywhere near what I wanted to accomplish for the week. I had a portrait session that I had to reschedule, I don't have my blog set-up fully, and I don't have a template for my web page. Hopefully I will get better soon so that I can get caught up. I am going to post my price list and some pictures today though.

I must say a big "Thank You!" to my friend Jess for offering to bring dinner for my family tonight. Jess, you have no idea how much you will be missed when you move away!

I'm finally jumping in

I guess I should introduce myself :) I am Shay Winget, a photographer in Port Orchard. My favorite portraits are those done casually in an environment you are comfortable in. For this reason the majority of my work is done on location. There are so many beautiful places in Kitsap County that work as marvelous backdrops, and your home often works very well too. I do have a location with a lot of natural light that can be used as well.

I have enjoyed watching and reading blogs created by others with various themes, but until now have not created one myself. I think that in part this is because I spend so much time on the computer already that I fear this taking more time from my family. However, I am looking forward to the ability to share sneak peeks of photo shoots, photos of my family, and my journey in the crazy world of photography. I will also post special offers on my blog, so watch for those :)

Yesterday I spent some time with my brother-in-law who is going to help me design my website. I cannot wait to be fully online with my budding business. I will post my prices and some of my work later today. I have my portfolio on flickr if you want to see some sooner.
